The Beteau lake camp offers the best of both worlds for
the adventuresome angler: The opportunity to fish both lake and river
environs. The lake itself is large and varied with many back bays and
sloughs teeming with trophy pike, to traditional points, humps and islands
where one will find walleye in abundance. The river both upstream and down
winds it's way unhurriedly through the taiga offering the angler numerous
current areas that teem with walleye. In addition there are countless
slackwater bays adjacent to the main river channel where the giant gators
lurk. One will never become bored here at Beteau, the ability to explore and
fish new water each day sets it apart. In addition to the world class pike
and walleye fishing Beteau offers a rare opportunity to catch numbers of
both trophy sturgeon and whitefish as well. If targetted properly
enterprising anglers will be surprised at the numbers and size of the
sturgeon caught. There are very few places left on earth where these
prehistoric goliaths are so abundant. The whitefish offer incredible sport
as well often overlooked by many. Mid June to late July offers the
flyfishermen incredible dry fly action in the evenings coinciding with the
annual green drake hatch. Whitefish by the hundreds will be seen rising each
evening to feast on the annual bounty.
Come to Beteau and experience it for yourself!
